Yoga practice does not replace medical care. As a Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist, I’m trained to design personalized yoga programs to complement medical care and manage symptoms of injuries and health conditions.

I love movement — or rather, I simply cannot keep still. I came to yoga with time, convinced it wasn't for me.

I’ve been hiking since I was a little girl and learned to swim before I knew my ABCs.
Over the years I tried everything that came my way: skiing, windsurfing, sailing, cycling, tennis… all backed by a consistent routine at the gym. Mostly outdoor activities with friends, without much competitive spirit.

I started yoga when I became interested in meditation and Eastern philosophy, and took to it naturally. Perhaps the time had come, perhaps it was something I had been looking for without knowing it. My enthusiasm led me to become a teacher.

I love teaching — no professional satisfaction compares to contributing to other people's wellbeing. I connect with people without the filters that other professions impose. When I teach, everyone is themselves, and yoga creates genuine connections, even in silence.

I am intimately familiar with the corporate working world. I am an architect, and before turning to yoga full-time I worked in digital design as a partner in one of Italy's first web agencies. By chance, many of our clients were in the pharmaceutical sector and required medical and scientific content. My interest in the science of the body began there.

Studying is a lifelong journey, curiosity never stops.

To become a yoga teacher, I completed two comprehensive training courses — a 200 hour program (Yoga Alliance) and a 650 hour program (CSEN - European Certification). I regularly attended workshops and seminars to deepen my knowledge of yoga, which, like architecture, possesses humanistic, historical and philosophical dimensions as well as scientific and technical ones.

Yoga Medicine® is the training system I had been looking for, because its approach is rigorous — whether dealing with Western research or Indian and Chinese traditions. The teachers are yoga instructors, but also healthcare providers, researchers and specialists. As Yoga is above all about feeling, observing, living in the body in the present moment — beyond textbooks and even beyond diagnoses - everything is put into practice, both before and after lectures. Continuing education is a requirement for being a Therapeutic Specialist.

While studying for the 500-hour training (Yoga Alliance Certified), I realized that what I was learning went far beyond what is needed in a group class.
This inspired me to begin individual sessions, aimed at helping those who need specific, personalized support. In my work I put together what I have learned, my personal practice, alongside my experiences as an individual, a professional and a patient.

I continue to study — because learning is just another form of movement that keeps me well and improves what I have to offer as a teacher.
